Omsk entrepreneurs will work with South Korea

EICC-Omsk region working on base of Omsk Regional Fund For Small Business Support and Development organized business mission to South Korea in the period of October 14-18.
Business mission was confined to the Energy Show 33rd International Exhibition which is one of the biggest exhibitions in South Korea. Delegation of Omsk region consisted of five companies (Agropark, Ltd, Maximus, Ltd, Energosety, Ltd, Stroynkom, Ltd and Trade House Platina, Ltd).
The first day of the visit was marked by seminar "Small and medium business in Korea: current situation, infrastructure, support system, cooperation prospects".
During the seminar the companies could get acquainted with a current economic situation in the country and prospects of Russo-Korean cooperation which was presented by representative of Russian Trade mission in South Korea Mr. Jakov Missuris.
President of Seoul Global Center for foreigners living in South Korea and running business there Steven McKinley presented services of the Center which can also be used by Omsk companies.
Head of EICC-Omsk region Ekaterina Ishchenko had a meeting with Mr. Missuris, in the course of which she presented investment passport and catalogue of exporters of Omsk region. Both parts reached an agreement on supporting small and medium business of Omsk region in the sphere of international activity including commercial, regional, industrial and investment cooperation.
The first day of the business mission was finished with negotiations organized by Russian Trade mission in South Korea.
On October 16th Russian delegation visited Small and medium business corporation (SBC). SBS is a non-commercial state agency established in 1797. The Agency renders support to small and medium business including grants, microfinancing, international cooperation, service of marketing research). SBS consists of 18 departments with 761 employees, 23 regional representative offices and international offices in 21 countries.
President of the International Departments Mr. Geun Hyung Lee told about the Agency’s services.  EICC-Omsk region and SBC came to the agreement to mutually exchange information.
Omsk companies also visited Incheon Free Economic Zone with total surface 209,38 km². Companies in the Zone have many benefits including tax reduction, assistance with building construction, grants and other forms of support. Moreover, one of the advantages of the Zone is its closeness to the international airport and sea port.
Russian companies got offer to create joint venture in the Zone.
Omsk companies also visited two enterprises: RFID-USN CENTER and Berna Biotech Korea Corp. The first company is engaged in development and testing of automated object identification systems.
Berna Biotech Korea Corp. produces vaccines.
